3. Referring providers will be connected immediately to a Norton Children’s fellow or attending neonatologist, pediatric critical care specialist or pediatric emergency medicine physician who will provide real-time medical control for the transport team.
Pediatric Transport Education and Simulation
The “Just for Kids” Transport Team provides education and simulation experiences for medical facilities within the community. These sessions are available for hospital staff, first responders (i.e., paramedics, EMTs and firefighters) and health sciences students at local high schools.If you would like to schedule an educational session with our team, choose from the list below and email JFKTransportPR@nortonhealthcare.org.

Enfermeros registrados, terapeutas respiratorios y técnicos en emergencias médicas forman parte de cada equipo de transporte. Reciben formación continua sobre temas que incluyen reanimación cardiopulmonar, soporte vital avanzado, atención traumatológica, farmacología y fisiología de vuelo. Nuestros pilotos están capacitados en VFR (reglas de vuelo visual) y IFR (reglas de vuelo por instrumentos), y tienen cientos de horas de experiencia en los fuselajes. Los médicos capacitados en neonatología, medicina de emergencia pediátrica y cuidados críticos pediátricos están disponibles para transportes cuando sea necesario.
